Greenwich Academy Riders Win at State Finals

Alessandra Delucia and Lindsay Juge had outstanding successes at the Connecticut Hunter and Jumper Association State Finals and the Fairfield Hunt Club Horse Show. The shows were held at the Westport show grounds during the month of August.

Ally and Say Goodnight galloped around the Grand Prix grass hunt field, winning the Junior Hunter Division Championship. She won two classes over fences and piloted her horse to a second over fences. Beautiful Virginia bred horse showed off his exceptional form on the grass field. Ally and Say Goodnight have placed in many Hunt Derbys on the East Coast this summer. Ally is a senior at Greenwich Academy.

Lindsay Juge and her new horse Lord Stanley competed on the hunt field for the first time and won the Low Hunter Reserve Champion. She competed against many adults in the division and had solid top placings in all of her classes. Lindsay is a freshman at Greenwich Academy.

Both girls train at Starbuck Equestrian in Ridgefield. Coaching them throughout the year are the training staff at Starbuck Equestrian including Juliana and Amanda Starbuck, Janie Starbuck Weber, Kathy Fogg, Rachel Knoche and Maddie Webb.
