Starbuck Kicks off Show Season at Stepping Stone

Starbuck Equestrian’s up and coming students at their first show of 2018.

Starbuck Equestrian of Ridgefield, CT seated close to twenty horse and rider teams at Stepping Stone Farm’s 2018 debut horse show on Sunday, February 11th.

Leading off ribbons was Grace Shipman aboard Rosmel’s Remarkable, receiving champion in the Schooling Hunter division. On her heels in reserve champion was Juliana Bradley and her new mount Rio’s Grand Finale, one of Starbuck’s homebred horses.

Another new pair competing for the first time was Jennifer Johnson and Black Gold. Johnson won champion in the Pre-Adult Equitation division. Betsy Curtin and Thunder Bay received champion in the Modified Child/Adult division. Also riding for ribbons and placing in their respective divisions throughout the day were Katherine Meyer, Marygrace Dellisante, Caitlyn Rosell and Robert Rose.

Team trainers from Starbuck Equestrian were Emma Ryan, Kathy Fogg, Tiffany Lindeborn and Janie Weber, manager and owner of Stepping Stone Farm. This competition was recognized by USEF, USHJA, CHJA, M & S, NEHC and FW-PHA.

Stepping Stone Farm hosts many shows throughout the year. This show was the first of their Series 1 horse show and was sponsored by Grand Prix Equine and Dr. Mark Baus. Fifteen tristate farms attended the competition.
