Starbuck Equestrian’s “A” show team had an outstanding first week of horse showing at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center Horse Show, in Wellington Florida. The show team brought home three division championships. Leading off the group was Limerick with Anna Platek in the irons. The combination won the Low Children’s Jumper division championship. Platek won the power and speed class on Saturday and ended up third in the Paddock Cakes Low Children’s Jumper Classic class on Sunday against over 50 other riders from around the country. Limerick, is a new addition to the farms show team and recently represented California in the Hermes Masters in Paris France. The little horse had a successful jumping career in northern California, and was sent to the east coast in January after trainers Amanda Starbuck and Janie Weber tried him in California. Weber said that “the little horse is fast and direct and we are delighted to have him on our show string.”

Cayla Fisher and Windo also pulled a blue ribbon in her first class, winning the Entrust Children’s Jumper Speed class on Saturday, topping off her division with the Reserve Championship rosette for the weekend.

Starbuck Equestrian’s Roswell’s Remarkable won the Large Children’s Pony Hunter Division Championship. The team showed on the island all weekend and won two over fences classes and the under saddle class. Hannah Lupica stepped up to the new 3’3 Junior Hunter Division with two mounts. Lord Stanley won third and fourth over fence and was fourth under saddle. Lupica’s new mount Samba started their career with top jogs in the jumping classes and a sixth in the under saddle class.

Professional rider, Juliana Starbuck rode all the children’s jumpers to clear blue ribbon rounds on Thursday to prepare them for the weekend showing. Starbuck also rode Imperial Isle to a third over fence and a fourth under saddle in the low hunter division. “Emmie" took three years off to produce three foals from Stepping Stone Farms Rio BRONCO. The beautiful black mare will be moving up to the Rost Arena for week five, into the pregreen divisions. Emmie’s grandfather was Esprit, a German Stallion that was Gold winner in the Olympics. Starbuck, changed gears and rode Zilver Pomm V.D.L. to a seventh place in the meter 35 speed class. This talented team will face the International Grand Prix field for the week 5 competition. The Starbuck/Weber team is back together as trainers representing all the riders.
